You will learn to do a full body assessment on your clients and start to understand the relationship between pain patterns and posture. Isolated Muscle Therapy - Basic Treatment Strategies for Postural Analysis
Isolated Muscle Therapy-Introduction to Postural Analysis is a prerequisite for this class. At the end of this class you will be able to “work smarter not harder” through postural assessment and individualized bodywork strategies. We will go over the origins and insertions of specific muscles contributing to the dysfunctions learned in the foundational postural analysis class. After this class you will be able to go on to take the more advanced Isolated Muscle Therapy courses. If Manual Therapy/Medical Massage is your passion, this is a must-have foundational course.

This class will teach students how to safely and effectively treat headaches (including tension and sinus headaches), temporomandibular joint disfunction (TMJD), and thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS). Students will be given treatment protocols for each condition and shown how to perform a variety of techniques including neuromuscular, trigger point release, stretching, deep tissue, myofascial, and intra-oral techniques. Relevant anatomy will be reviewed.

In this course therapists will gain a better understanding of hot stone massage; learning not just the theory but how to integrate it almost seamlessly into a treatment. We will then take it to the next level by exploring tandem hot stone massage; working with another therapist to create a hot stone massage treatment like no other. In addition to hot stone treatments we will also go over hot and cold hydrotherapy, the different types that can be utilized during a massage treatment, the benefits and precautions and how you can use them for home care suggestions. This course is for beginning massage therapists or seasoned professionals, or for those who have shied away from hot stones in your career due to the disconnection that working with stones can create. This course is designed for massage therapists who want to learn how to get started using myofascial release in their treatments. This training will give students an understanding of what fascia is, where it is in the body, and how, using show steady pressure, we can create a myofascial "release." We will look at the most current research in this field to help us understand the mechanisms that underly the tissue changes we feel. This course will explain the principles of myofascial release and will allow plenty of hands-on time to make sure students have good tissue engagement and are able to perform the techniques well. Myofascial shearing techniques will be shown for the back, neck, arms, and legs.

This class will teach students how to safely and effectively perform a sidelying massage with the intention of treating a variety of orthopedic conditions common to pregnancy and the general population, including headaches, back pain, sciatic nerve pain and more. Indications and contraindications for such treatment will be reviewed. Relevant anatomy will be reviewed. The following techniques, along with proper biomechanics, will be demonstrated and taught in the sidelying position: deep tissue (muscle stripping, active deep tissue release, circular frictions), myofascial release (myofascial shearing, skin rolling, bowing), golgi-tendon organ release, rib raking, and Swedish massage.

In this course therapists will explore the many different ingredients needed to create a safe and effective salt and sugar body scrub and seaweed and clay body wrap. The therapists will have a better understanding of the benefits of the individual ingredients used in these treatments as well as the different variations. Therapists will learn the benefits as well as the contraindications to body scrubs and body wraps. The therapists will also learn how to incorporate these treatments into a massage session, even if a shower facility is not available.
