Add a poweful dynamic treatment style to your toolkit. This active myofascial therapy is extremely effective and in accord with the latest fascial research. This course will enable participants to perform a full-body stretch session for clients on a massage table, as well as with the client actively moving on and off the table. Techniques can be applied clothed, though appropriate draping will be demonstrated for incorporating stretching into traditional massage. Theory of active inhibition, neuromuscular release, and fascial stretching will be covered.
Instructor Bio:
Adrienne Permar, LMT, BSc. completed over 4000 hours of massage therapy training in British Columbia, Canada. After working in spas and clinics in Vancouver, Canada for several years, she opened The Lymphatic Massage Clinic of Vancouver, where she worked with primarily cancer and surgery patients. She began teaching massage therapy in Vancouver in 2016, before moving to Washington State, where she taught anatomy and orthopedic treatment at Northwest Academy of the Healing Arts. After relocating to Georgia, she founded Oconee School of Therapeutic Massage, where she directs entry-level education for massage therapists. She loves blending therapeutic effective treatment with relaxation techniques to provide balanced treatment. She is excited to share high quality continuing education courses at an affordable cost for LMT's in Georgia.
