This course is designed for massage therapists who want to incorporate myofascial release in their treatments. This training will give students an understanding of what fascia is, where it is in the body, and how, using show steady pressure, we can create a myofascial "release." We will look at the most current research in this field to help us understand the mechanisms that underly the tissue changes we feel. This course will explain the principles of myofascial release and will allow plenty of hands-on time to make sure students have good tissue engagement and are able to perform the techniques well. Myofascial shearing techniques will be shown for the back, neck, arms, and legs. A variety of styles of application will be shown to ensure each participant walks away with new skills they can use right away to make their treatments more effective.
