This class will provide discussion of trauma and abuse as well as in-depth hands-on treatment techniques for muscles of the posterior and anterior neck. Relevant anatomy will be covered. A variety of techniques including NMT, myofascial and deep tissue will be included.

Jamie Armstrong is a compassionate and highly skilled LMT with extensive experience across clinical, medical, spa, and trauma-informed settings. Recognized as a two-time Therapist of the Year and a contributor to multiple award-winning practices, she specializes in treating complex musculoskeletal conditions through advanced deep tissue, neuromuscular, and myofascial techniques.
As an NCBTMB Approved Continuing Education Provider, Jamie teaches advanced cervical deep tissue methods with a focus on trauma, abuse, and domestic violence survivors. She serves as a Clinical Supervisor and Instructor at the Oconee School of Massage, where she mentors students in hands-on skills, ethics, and professional development.
Jamie’s trauma-informed work includes designing a specialized protocol for survivors of human trafficking and addiction at the Divas Who Win Freedom Center, overseeing more than 1,500 sessions and training both therapists and students in safe therapeutic communication and touch. Her background also includes medical massage training, contributing to a 48-hour continuing education program addressing conditions such as frozen shoulder, piriformis syndrome, and torticollis.
