This course is designed for massage therapists who want to learn how to effectively treat common pathologies of the shoulder, elbow, and wrist including impingement syndrome, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, and carpal tunnel syndrome. Relevant anatomy and physiology will be covered, along with treatment techniques such as joint mobilization, skin rolling, myofascial treatment, neuromuscular therapy and more. Use of ice massage with ice cups will be included. Special testing will be covered along with suggestions for appropriate client home care.

Instructor Bio: Adrienne Permar, LMT, BSc. completed over 4000 hours of massage therapy training in British Columbia, Canada. After working in spas and clinics in Vancouver, Canada for several years, she opened The Lymphatic Massage Clinic of Vancouver, where she worked with primarily cancer and surgery patients. She began teaching massage therapy in Vancouver in 2016, before moving to Washington State, where she taught anatomy and orthopedic treatment at Northwest Academy of the Healing Arts. After relocating to Georgia, she founded Oconee School of Therapeutic Massage, where she directs entry-level education for massage therapists. She loves blending therapeutic effective treatment with relaxation techniques to provide balanced treatment.
